THIS AIN'T NO RAG IT'S A FLAG
THE LAST FALLEN HERO
BARBED WIRE FENCES
LIKE COWBOYS IN THE MOVIES
GONE FROM OL' TEJAS

THIS AIN'T NO RAG IT'S A FLAG

This ain't no rag it's a flag
And we don't wear it on our heads
It's a symbol of the land where the good guys live
Are you listening to what I said
You're a coward and a fool
And you broke all of the rules
And you wounded our American pride
And now we're coming with a gun
And we know you're gonna run
But you can't find no place to hide
We're gonna hunt you down like a mad dog hound
Make you pay for the live you stole
We're all through talking and a messing around
And now it's time to rock and roll

These colors don't run and we're speaking as one
When we say united we stand
When you mess with one, you mess with us all
Every boy, girl, woman and man
You've been acting mighty rash
And talking that trash
Let me give you some advice
You can crawl back in your hole
Like a dirty little mole

But now you're gonna pay the price
You might of shot us in the back
Now you have to face the fact
That the big boys' in the game
And the lightening's been flashing
And the thunder's been crashing
And now it's getting ready to rain

Chorus:
This is the United States of America
The land of the brave and the free
We believe in God and we believe in justice
We believe in liberty
You've been pulling our chain
We should've done something 'bout you a long time ago
But now the flag's flying high and the fur's gonna fly
And soon the whole world's gonna know

This ain't no rag, it's a flag
Old Glory red, white and blue
The stars and the stripes when it comes to a fight
We can do what we have to do
Our people stand proud
The American crowd is faithful, loyal and tough
We're good as the best and better than the rest
And you're gonna find out soon enough
When you look up in the sky
And you see the eagle fly
You better know he's a heading your way
Cause this ain't no rag it's a flag
And it stands for the USA
USA
USA
USA

THE LAST FALLEN HERO

Oh the cowards came by morning and attacked without a warning
Leaving flames and death and chaos in our streets
In the middle of this fiery hell brave heroes fell

In the skies of Pennsylvania on a plane bound for destruction
With the devil and his angels at the wheel
They never reached their target on the ground
Brave heroes brought it down

Chorus:
This is a righteous cause so without doubt or pause
I will do what my country asks of me
Make any sacrifice
We’ll pay whatever price
So the children of tomorrow can be free
Lead on red, white and blue
And we will follow you until we win the final victory
God help us do our best we will not slack or rest
Till the last fallen hero rests in peace

Now the winds of war are blowing and there’s no way of knowing
Where this bloody path we’re traveling will lead
We must follow till the end
Or face it all again

And make no mistake about it, write it, preach it, talk it, shout it
Across the mountains and the deserts and the seas
The blood of innocence and shame
Will not be shed in vain

God help us do our best we will not slack nor rest
Till the last fallen hero rests in peace

BARBED WIRE FENCES

Barbed wire fences,
Rusted and forgotten,
Abandoned by Providence,
And wrought of winters' winds.
Like old cowhands,
Without expectations or demands,
Sentrys, alone in their solitary world.
Barbed wire fences,
Rusted and forgotten,
Forged of steel from foundries long cold,
With nothing more to prove,
Standing alone against the wind.

LIKE COWBOYS IN THE MOVIES

In an old forgotten suitcase,
I stumbled on your picture,
And seeing you made me wish for yesterdays.
For we once rode together,
Like cowboys in the movies,
And we knew we'd always weather
The stormy times the world might bring our way.

On cool Texas mornings, we'd saddle up and ride.
Sheriff and deputy, 'gainst the bad guys, side by side.
We'd ride our wooden ponies
Like cowboys in the movies,
As close as two friends would ever be.
It seems like only yesterday to me.

And when our country called us, to a war we didn't choose,
We rode on steel winged ponies,
And vowed we'd never lose.
Like cowboys in the movies,
We'd fight on 'till our job was done,
And then we'd just ride off, into the setting sun.

On a long, hot summer night, they took us by surprise,
And hell rained down upon us,
'Till one by one we died.
Like cowboys in the movies,
We held on to defend,
Then held on to each other, and prayed for it to end.

Now where we rode together, I laid you down to rest,
And cursed that damned war for taking so many of our best.
We thought we'd live forever.
Like cowboys in the movies,
We'd never really die.
Instead, we'd gently fade away, into the Western sky.

In an old forgotten suitcase,
I stumbled on your picture.
And seeing you made me wish for yesterdays.
'Cause we once rode together,
Like cowboys in the movies...
It seems like only yesterday to me.

GONE FROM OL' TEJAS

Wild horses wild...
countless prairie's child.
Thunder rolling move aside,
and rope one for a ride.

Toss your lasso onto mane-
your mighty steed to gain.
In ol' Tejas ponies fly,
you catch 'em goin' by!

Starless night flamin' tail,
hoofs alight mooning trail.
Horses wild running gone,
disappearing in the dawn.

Texican, Texas, ol' Tejas
sense the need for glory lost.
Striking palm the other a fist,
for ol' Tejas and freedom missed.
